Dr. AlGhamdi holds a bachelor degree in computer education, Master and Ph.D in communication and information technology. His educational foundation in learning and teaching has empowered him in designing effective engaging online courses at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT), King Abdulaziz University (KAU). He has developed the FORCE strategy for designing effective engaging online courses. As result, he won the KAU President’s Award for Excellence and Creativity in E-Learning twice in 2017 and 2019. The FORCE strategy application has been extended to all courses in the IT department, where Dr. AlGhamdi works currently. As consequence, the IT department won the KAU prize of the best educational practices in 2019. These achievements have led the IT department to a very smooth e-learning transition during the COVID-19 pandemic, which qualified the department to won the third prize for the best management of educational processes during the pandemic, 2020. Dr. AlGhamdi is currently involved in designing a full interactive e-learning course to target enhancing soft skills for computing students. His current research interests involve e-learning applications, computing students' readiness to confidently join industry manpower.
