Abstract : This study was carried out on a random sample of student in the girls collage of education in Jeddah in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to identify the factor which led the research sample to select a certain apparel consumption behaviors ,as to the selection of the shop type and the factor which affect this behavior ,together which with the information and the experience acquired while choosing the type of garment ,and the selection of fashion and design whether in – dividualty or through various surces. The study also aimed to identify the most important factor which control the preference trend to buy ready – made clothes or otherwise to sew them .social and economic factors whish affect such behavior were studied as independent variables since they affect the buyer and make her follow a certain behavior to select the type of garment . these factors include the educational level . age monthly income ..etc questionaires were filled in through personal inter-views with a samprising 101of the student of the girls college of education . the sample was randomly chosen and computer was used to analyze the data statistical mean used including the percentage ,average and chi-square.
