Application: Delivery of front office practical and theoretical classes. Ideal layout to organize role plays aiming to learn and practice all front office activities including interaction with guests.

Application: Dedicated to practical and theoretical classes such as housekeeping and room service delivery

Information Technologies  Laboratory (1)

Capacity: Up to 28 students

Equipment:
 
        - 28 desktop computers equipped with hospitality, linguistic and graphical
 soft wares
        - Internet access
        -   Screen
        -   Beamer
        -   Flipchart
        -   Whiteboard

Application: Internet research, linguistic classes, training on specific hospitality software such as Fidelio and Opera.

Demonstration Kitchen (1)

Capacity: Up to 27 students

Equipment:  Fully equipped cooking classroom including

-          A high variety of modern kitchen equipments to allow students to get in touch with a maximum of cooking tools.
-          Video camera system with instant on screen transmission for a better visibility and knowledge transfer.
-          Auditorium seating layout.

Application:  Culinary demonstrations that will make students familiar with kitchen equipments and ingredients. Essential Training before working in the different production areas of KAUTI. Could be use for executive education purpose.

Study Room (1)

Capacity: Up to 60 students

Equipment:

-     Tables and chairs
-          Wireless connectivity
-          2 photocopiers/printers
-          Partition fences to split the room into smaller working areas

Application: For individual or/and group work

Fine Dining Kitchen (1)

Capacity: Up to 18 students

Equipment: Fully equipped fine dining kitchen including the following  equipments:

-         
3 stations for cold preparations .
-          6 stations including a stove for hot preparation
-          5 to 6 inbox working tables to be dispatched in the kitchen according to needs

Application
: Practical area where students will learn to cook at a gastronomical level by following the rigor of a kitchen crew organization and under the supervision of a qualified Chef. The fine dining kitchen serves the fine dining restaurant and is open for students, faculty members, King Abdulaziz University (KAU) community and external guests.

Fine Dining Restaurant (1)

Capacity:  Up to 50 seats

Equipment

-      Chairs
-       Fine china, glassware and cutlery
-       Gueridons
-       Trolleys for flambéed, carvings and cheese service
-       Beamer and screen to complement practice classes with theory

Application: Restaurant for students to practice fine service skills. This restaurant is open for students, faculty members, the KAU community and external guests. Meals will be served and prepared by students supervised by qualified teachers.

 
Food Court (1)

Capacity:  Up to 80 seats

Equipment:  Cafeteria style restaurant offering 2 selling corners and proposing different types of cuisine.

Each corner includes:

-          1 working area integrating cold storage
-          1 refrigerated display
-          1 hot station

Application: Restaurant serviced by the students. Open for both students and faculty members.

 

Catering Kitchen

Capacity:  Up to 12 students

Equipment:  Food production area in a “cooking class” layout dedicated to service the Food Court and including the following equipment:

-          6 individual working areas (for student to practice)
-          Cold stations
-          Hot stations with stove and gaz.

Application: Training students in food production application. Ideal to deliver executive education cooking classes.

 

Pastry

Capacity:

Equipment: 

-       1 gaz cooking zone
-          1 Dough area
-          2 large working stations for students
-          1 cold storage area
-          1 freezer
-          1 Oven

Application:  Food production area dedicated to produce pastries for all the  Food & Beverage outlets of KAUTI (Food Court, Fine Dining restaurant and Coffee Bar).

 

Coffee Bar

Capacity:  Up to 10 students

Equipment:  Fully equipped coffee bar including:

-          Lounge area with a seating capacity of 20
-          Standing area with bar/cocktail tables
-          Refrigerated display (snacks)
-          Coffee machines
-          Juicers

Application: Located in the main lobby, students will learn how to make and serve hot and cold beverages as well as snacks.
